„If anything vocalist Andreas Meixner has the timbre of Ronnie James Dio at times, maybe a touch of Dickinson. It’s enough to give a song like Shot in the Dark or Live Together or Die Alone a little feel of DIO in their tone. But mostly the songs within Statues Fall are heavy and galloping power metal. Between the riffage and solid thundering rhythm section, the metal is dense and blistering. But the melodic chord structures and vocal arrangements also propel the songs with equal strength. It’s a good combination, and they way heavy metal should be done. Add some masterful and traditional metal solos from Michael Zebhauser and you have the real ‚true‘ metal deal.
